What age should I start training my puppy?

Puppies can start training as early as 8 weeks old. It's important to start early to establish good habits and prevent bad ones from forming. We help provide a shopping list and puppy prep before the puppy is even under your care as well as our program come with online academy to help teach you how to handle puppy socialization, crate training, potty training, teeething, and starting obedience.

What Does My Pups Daily Schedule Look Like?

At camp, we are sun up to sun down. Our mornings start with socialization, followed by breakfast and rest time while each pup starts their individualized training session. After that we rotate a schedule of playtime, resting, and small training sessions into the evenings and usually wind down for bed between 8-10pm.

How many dogs do you train at a time?

We take on 1-3 dogs at one time to train, socialize, and work on behavior modification. Due to being a one woman small business owner and the nature of our work, we keep it to no more than four training dogs at a time to ensure everyone's mental and physical needs are met daily. We usually have 1-3 boarding pups that are on the microfarm just to play & stay in a more structured and homey environment.

Our boarding and B&Ts dates fill up fast, especially around the holidays, message on fb/insta for dates & rates.

What Goals Do You Work On During Your Board & Train Program? Where do they stay?

Each client and doggo has their own specific goals in mind. We like to teach a foundation of sit, stay, place, come, and heel. We teach both a strict heel and loos leash walking. These foundations are laid at camp the first few weeks and advance as the pup learns the correct coping skills to help rehabilitate that behavior. Core skills are taught while progressing through behavior modification like fearfulness, reactivity, and anxiety.

We have a 12x24 shed that we have redone into what I call the "Dog Barn" ons our acre property. The Dog barn is climate-controlled and has cameras to keep an eye on the pups as needed. We have done a full reno with nothing less than a chandelier for the pups, calming music on tap. (We do not know how any dog relaxes in a noisy kennel environment.)

We offer our pups filtered birkey water and have a fridge to accommodate to the boujiest of diets for your fur baby. Monthly ozone cleaning machine cleans the air and sanatizes as extra precaution in the dry months.. We us no harsh weed killer, pesticides, or other cancer causing chemicals near our yard or dog barn, so ignore the weeds! We treat your pup as our own and care about their health and can accommodate to your babies needs.

What methods do you use for training & behaor modification?

We use a combination of positive reinforcement and behavior modification techniques to address unwanted behaviors. We give our owners the choice of what training techniques we use based on our professional opinion and the dog's temperament. For example most anxiety and aggression cases should never be met with use of an e-collar. If its a happy go lucky dog that needs an e-collar, and the use of it gives the dog more freedom to run free on the beach, camping, swimming etc. then it is worth considering as a training tool.

I believe in order to have truly customizable training programs that giving the choice to my owners of certain training tools and help guiding them through certain behavior resolutions. Long term behavior modification takes time.
